Qanadeel ("we", "us", or "our") operates qanadeel.org, an online Quran learning academy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors and students, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using this site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Contact form details. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, WhatsApp number, email address, preferred course, and any message you send, so we can respond to your enquiry and arrange a free trial class.
- Student account details. If you create a student account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password through Firebase Authentication, along with any profile information you add, such as your name.
- Testimonials. If you submit a testimonial, we collect your name, the content of your testimonial, and (optionally) a photo, which may be displayed publicly on the site if approved.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time on site, and general location. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.
How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and arrange trial classes or course enrollment
- To create and manage student accounts and track learning progress
- To display approved testimonials on the site
- To improve the site through aggregated, anonymized analytics
- To communicate updates about your classes, where applicable
How we store and protect your information
Student account and testimonial data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), which applies industry standard security practices. Contact form submissions are also emailed to our team through EmailJS. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Third party services
We use a small number of trusted third party services to run this site:
- Google Firebase for authentication and data storage
- Google Analytics for aggregated website usage statistics
- EmailJS to deliver contact form submissions to our team by email
- Cloudinary to host and serve images uploaded through the site
These providers may process data on servers located outside your country. Each operates under its own privacy policy and security practices.
Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visitors and understand site usage. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to function normally, but anonymized usage statistics may be affected.
Your choices
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time
- You can delete your student account by contacting us directly
- You can ask us to remove a submitted testimonial at any time
Children's privacy
Many of our students are children learning under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Where a student account belongs to a minor, we rely on the parent or guardian to provide consent and to manage the account on the child's behalf.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
