Daily Duas: A Simple Guide for Muslims

Dua, or supplication, is one of the most personal forms of worship in Islam. It is a direct conversation with Allah, available at any moment, in any language, without needing a fixed format.
That said, the Quran and authentic Hadith preserve many specific duas the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, taught his companions for everyday moments: waking up, leaving the house, eating, and travelling among them.
Learning these short, structured duas by heart is a manageable goal for any student. Starting with three or four and reciting them consistently builds a habit of remembrance that grows naturally over time.
A good starting set includes the dua for waking up, the dua before eating, the dua for leaving the home, and the dua for entering it again. Each is only a sentence or two, making them approachable even for the youngest learners.
